In 1963, Frits Schrouff, the founder of Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Food, saw how much Indonesian immigrants longed for the food from their far away homeland. They were rather fed up with the everyday Dutch potatoes and sprouts. Frits came to aid and took a plane to Indonesia to start importing rice and soy products on a small scale, which he then sold door-to-door with a small VW van. This adventure developed over a few decades into the large leading company which Heuschen & Schrouff is today. We import and distribute Asian food throughout Europe and hereby connect people and culture.

Since August 2019 Heuschen & Schrouff became joint owner of T&T Foods in Guewenheim France. T&T is a wholesaler specialized in Asian food products. It is a specialist in French retail and has developed a number of very strong brands listed in supermarket chains like Carrefour, Cora and Intermarché. Next to retail, T&T also serves customers in the ethic channel and foodservice.
Bean sprouts are Heuschen & Schrouffs number one fresh product. In 2017 Heuschen & Schrouff partnered up with Evers Specials in Nijmegen for its local bean sprout production. Bean sprouts the sprouts of Asian mung beans. In Asia bean sprouts are indispensable in meals but nowadays they are also increasingly used in the Western cuisine. With its crispy bite, fresh colour and neutral taste, bean sprouts belong on every plate!
