In 1963, Frits Schrouff, the founder of Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Food, saw how much Indonesian immigrants longed for the food from their far away homeland. They were rather fed up with the everyday Dutch potatoes and sprouts. Frits came to aid and took a plane to Indonesia to start importing rice and soy products on a small scale, which he then sold door-to-door with a small VW van. This adventure developed over a few decades into the large leading company which Heuschen & Schrouff is today. We import and distribute Asian food throughout Europe and hereby connect people and culture.
